Spring has Sprung

Spring is here in full swing….or maybe I should actually say Summer is here! I really am wishing for just a few more weeks of spring weather around here. 70 degrees and sunny sounds divine for just a bit longer. But alas, I do believe the summer heat is here to stay and it is only gonna get hotter.

But, in my longing for it to feel like spring, (when the calendar says it actually IS spring) I made these little blocks to take to the women that I visit every month. (If you are one of those women, close your eyes and don’t look, or look if you want, just act surprised when I show up at your door with this gift!)

I LoVe Spring, don’t you. Spring colors are just so pleasing and happy…sigh. They make me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Look at the EGGS now!

Okay, so remember those jute eggs from a few days ago. Look at them now! They were super cute just on their own, but check out this spring wreath! ADORABLE! I am in absolute LOVE with it!

Spring Wreath, She Made it

My neighbor Melissa and I put this beauty together last night! We glued the jute eggs onto the wreath with hot glue. Added a cutie little nest we found at JoAnn’s. Tied some ribbon and a bow on it. And my favorite part…..the SIGN! Doesn’t it just make the wreath?

We used paint sticks (you know the free ones from the hardware store, I always grab a few when I am there, never know what you might need them for!) This sign used 2 paint sticks. We cute them down to size, and them glued them together with gorilla glue (one of my faves Smileit will glue anything together!) Then we sanded it by hand just a bit to hide the line where the sticks met and then painted it white. A little glaze to distress it and it was so cute. The word “Spring” cut out with my cricut in pink vinyl completed the look. Isn’t that font cute? It is Boingo, and it might be my new favorite!

So what do you think? I think I may need one for myself!!!! How many wreaths can you hang on your door? I already have one…..would TWO look funny? One of the outside of the door and one on the inside????? Smile

Spring Facelift!

I am LOVING my burlap wreath! Today I finished giving it a Spring facelift. I am so excited that it is spring…..except that here at my house today is was more like SUMMER, WHAT? Summer already!!! Yes, it was 100 degrees today!

But, I digress, back to spring. Spring colors are so fun, and fresh and they just make me feel happy and smooshy inside. Don’t you know what I mean?

I was going to hang this cutie birdhouse I painted inside the frame, but it just didn’t fit. So, now I am off to find another use for this little guy. Any ideas?

So I used a chipboard letter “S” and glued paper on, then of course DISTRESSED it, then hot glued it to a frame I got at the dollar store (spray painted white) then used my cricut to cut out “pring” in pink vinyl and there you have it. One Springy Wreath for my door!
